Join the Incline Friends
Welcome to the Incline Friends website. The future of the Manitou Incline begins here with you and with all who enjoy this wonderful, challenging staircase to the sky.
This website will serve as the online home for the Incline Friends group, an organization created with the goal of raising funds to help implement the Manitou Incline Site Development and Management Plan and legally open the Incline for all.
It's important for the Incline Friends to recognize that it is currently illegal to climb the Manitou Incline. However, with your help, this heart-pounding, popular trail will soon be open for all to enjoy.

An Incline Friends executive committee is forming a working management structure for the group. We're just beginning this journey. Please watch this website for your opportunity to help. We'll update as new information becomes available.

The following are some of the goals for Incline Friends.
Raise funds for plan implementation.
This will be done through private and corporate donations, sponsorships, grants and fund-raising events.
The Incline Friends will educate the public about new rules and regulations, build relationships with groups that use the Incline, and work with residents who live near the Incline to assure that problems are addressed.
Create a volunteer group
We'll need people power to make it all work. Incline Friends will create a volunteer corps and organize volunteer work days.
After years of legal wrangling and illegal use, our generation of Incline users has the opportunity to do something great for the community. We can finally make the Incline legal to climb. We can make it safe. We can preserve it for future users. We can make it something the Pikes Peak Region can be proud of.
